Movie Log:  Criteria for Acting Analysis

Your Journal entry should be structured in four short paragraphs (2-3 sentences each).  Your chapter on Acting describes four criteria for analyzing acting (see section “Looking at Acting”):

1. Appropriateness
2. Inherent Thoughtfulness or Emotionality
3. Expressive Coherence
4. Wholeness and Unity

Using a paragraph for each of the criteria above, briefly describe the specific criteria/category of analysis (e.g. “Appropriateness”) in your words.  Using one of your favorite actors, give one example/observation of the actor’s performance focusing on the specific criteria.
