A few of the most complicated and unsolvable issues facing society and individuals are tackled by social work, including homelessness, addiction, mental illness, poverty, and child abuse (Proctor, 2017). For example, a social worker in a school setting might counsel and support students facing academic or personal challenges while collaborating with teachers and parents to create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment.
